Growing the next
generation on air.
Next Media has long been a launch pad for Ugandan media talent. Our talent programs formalise that, structured tracks that turn promising voices, reporters, producers and creators into the faces and bylines audiences trust.
Four pathways into the Next Media family.
On Air Talent Development
A structured pathway for emerging anchors, show hosts, presenters and DVJs. Voice and delivery coaching, on-camera training, live show shadowing and gradual on-air placement across NBS, Sanyuka, Salam and Next Radio.
Editorial and Reporter Track
For young reporters and writers across NBS Newsroom, Salam TV and Nile Post. Editorial discipline, story craft, investigations, ethics and the day-to-day rigour of working in a live newsroom.
Production and Multimedia Lab
Hands-on training in editing, motion design, camera, sound and post production inside Next Productions. Real briefs from real brands, mentored by working professionals.
Content Creator Hubs
A growing program for Ugandan creators, podcasters and digital storytellers, supported by Next Media's studios, distribution muscle and brand partnerships.
Mentored by working professionals. Trained on real shows. Placed where you can grow.
Talent programs are run by the heads of our newsrooms, studios and creative teams. Every cohort works on live productions, gets one-on-one mentorship, and is evaluated for placement across the group.
